I chose to work in paper for this stop-motion walk cycle. Initially I tried creating a little pipe-cleaner figure, but I wanted to focus on the walk rather than the three dimensions of an armature puppet.
The set was built on 15" x 20" illustration board. I cut and glued colored construction paper and jute.
As for the sound effects, I recorded myself taking a breath, poking my fingers in rice, making a popping sound with my thumb in my cheek, and crinkling a tiny piece of paper. This was all super fun and more challenging than I had imagined it would be.
